ABOUT US

Every Child Deserves

Safety, Support & Hope

Supporting children and caregivers across Hood County, Texas.

WHO WE ARE

Two Organizations. One Shared Mission.

The Hood County Child Protective Services Board and Kash for Kids work hand in hand to ensure children involved in the child welfare system have the resources, support and opportunities they need to be safe, healthy and to reach their full potential.

Hood County Child Protective Service Board

The Hood County Children's Protective Services (CPS) Board is comprised of up to 10 members appointed by the Hood County Commissioners. The CPS Board is the Hood County Child Welfare Board, as defined in the Texas Family Code – Section 264.005 - County Child Welfare Board.

Kash for Kids

Kash for Kids is a registered non-profit 501(c)(3) agency and the direct funding source of the Hood County Child Protective Services Board. We raise awareness and funding to help support services for children who are victims of abuse and neglect. 100% of donations stay within our community.

HERE WHEN IT MATERS MOST

That moment of need isn't next week.

It's today.

In partnership with Hood County caseworkers and community organizations, we provide critical resources and support to children at every stage of involvement with a Hood County CPS case — including Investigations, Family-Based Safety Services, and Conservatorship.

Many of these children have already experienced years of waiting... waiting for a family, for safety, and for joy. At KFK, we believe it’s that one moment of caring, given at just the right time, that often translates into a lifetime of difference.
